WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER THERAPY?
Please check with your insurance provider to ensure that counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor is covered. Each plan is different and some counsellors may be able to directly bill your plan. If you have an ICBC claim, Jennifer can direct bill.
ARE IN-PERSON SESSIONS OFFERED?
Yes. We offer in-person, online video calls, and phone counselling depending on your preference.
WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?
WHAT IS THE COST OF COUNSELLING?
Please visit the counsellors page for prices as rates vary depending on the counsellor and their credentials.
TELL ME ABOUT THE STUDENT INTERNS
Westshore counselling hosts Masters level student interns who are finishing their degrees. These students are actively supervised by Jennifer and Kimberly and charge a reduced rate while in school. With permission from clients, students will record themselves counselling and may invite supervisors into sessions occasionally.
HOW IS PAYMENT MADE?
There are multiple ways to pay. You can pay cash at your appointment, Etransfer in advance, or book online and have your counsellor charge your credit card.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please provide 48 hours notice when cancelling an appointment as your counsellor should be able to rebook your appointment. After 48 hours, refunds will not be given.
ARE THERAPY SESSIONS CONFIDENTIAL?
Confidentiality is very important to the process of counselling and very important to your counsellor. However, there are some limits to confidentiality that will be explained in your first session.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION?
Your first appointment is the perfect time for you and your counsellor to get to know one another and discuss the reasons for therapy. To prepare, mull over some counselling goals, bring paper and a pen, and be yourself. Your counsellor wants to gain insight into your situation and who you are so they may best suit your counselling needs.
WHERE IS THE OFFICE?
